Couture Pops- Fashionable Favors!

I am always looking for ways to incorporate simple items into table decor or favor use. While watching television the other night, I came across a commercial for Couture Pops by Sugar Factory. These lollipops are mounted on rhinestoned handles for that "Take Notice" effect. With an initial price tag of $22, there are numerous handle colors and designs to choose from. I know what you are thinking, that is way too much for a lollipop? Well, I agree but I would only use it for special occasions that are intimate in nature. The one sellng point that the company has, is that the handle is resuseable. You may purchase replacement lollipop heads for the handle at a price of $12 for a set of 3. Take a look at the site, they may be used for bridal showers or Girls' Night Out events!

Cake alternative- Frozen Strawberry Souffle

The one thing that I pride myself on is being somewhat "Out of the box" when it comes to designing events. Don't get me wrong, I love tradition but I love being able to do the unexpected in an elegant and classy way. One of the areas that I like to be more liberal is the dessert offerings of an event. I love the different variations of cakes that can be selected for parties, but sometimes cake simply goes to waste. As most of my friends know, cupcakes are one of my favorate dessert alternatives but there are so many more to choose from. One such option is a souffle. Souffles may be used for almost any occassion, including weddings. The thing that I like the most about souffles are that there so many different flavors to choose from such s strawberry, coconut, sweet potato, or even carrot. The choices are limitless!

Magnetic Flowers- Making a Memorable Design!

I am always looking for unique decor elements to incorporate for my events as well as my home. While reading Martha Stewart Living, I came across an article on Spring Design Decor which included the use of magnetic flowers. Magetic flowers are so easy to make and are easily interchangeable. These flowers are really east to make. All that you will need are fabric flowers and mini magnets which may be purchased at most craft stores. Pick out the fabric flowers that you love and simply adhere the mini magnets to the back with fabric glue. Viola, you're done! These flowers may be used to decorate any soft surface such as table clothes, curtains, or napkins.
