Last night I had the honor of being in attendance at the inaugural launch of The Diva Lounge DC. The Diva Lounge originated in New York City as a networking event designed to connect female taste-makers while introducing them to premium lifestyle brands. On Tuesday, March 23, 2010 The Diva Lounge, in conjunction with DC-based entrepreneur Kimberly Natasha, hosted its inaugural event in Washington D.C. This special two-part event kicked-off with an exclusive two-hour reception dedicated exclusively to women, providing them opportunity to mix, mingle and foster new business relationships with those in and out of their respected fields. The second part of the event was treated as an “after- party” with invitations being extended to gentlemen to join the celebration of Washington D.C.’s “Divas.” Sirius XM Radio personality Shayna D, and Baltimore R&B sensation Paula Campbell served as the evening’s hostesses and led the guests in acknowledging fearless young females in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
